Oppo QOTD: What’s the easiest engine bay you have ever worked in?
As much as I love turning wrenches in 4.0 wranglers and xj Cherokees, my 09 Santa Fe 3.3 is by far the easiest engine I have worked on. Everything has wrench clearance and easy access. Tons of room and logical layout.

Kia Soul has crazy amounts of space and everything is easily accessible.

1971 Chevelle with a 6 cyl.
Not me or my car, but this is also cool. Chevy II with a 4 banger. A 3rd gen Nova with a 4 banger is probably stupid easy since the engine bay is also sized for a big block.

‘84 Cutlass (or Monti Carlo, or Regal, or the Pontiac one...) 3.8l V6. It had at least 1 - 1 1/2 ft between the engine and the radiator. Without all the emissions garbage it would have been the simplest thing to work on too.

An old 70s suburban with a little old I6 in there. There was literally over a foot on space either way around that engine and any other component.

1994.5 (final build version) Nissan Sentra (B13). clearance on every side of the engine, everything was relatively accessible.

All-round, probably 1989 Caprice. For things directly pertaining to the engine (not accessories) 1988 Chevy Beauville. Just unbolt the cowling inside the van and wrench on the engine in velour comfort. If you wanted anything on the front of the engine though...

Not the exact one pictured, but I did maintenance on a friend’s Hot Rod... pretty roomy engine bay:

The first time I popped the hood on a 2.5L Dakota I wanted to have a dance party in the engine bay.

Isuzu NPR/ Mitsu Fuso. Because there isn’t any “bay” part to the “engine bay”.

My cousin’s Top Sportsman Baretta. You could litteraly get into the engine bay and work on anything. Then he switched to a full front clip and you could work on it from outside the bay.

The 351C in a 73 Mustang was a real pain to change spark plugs.
In the Bronco with the same-block 400M, dad and I could climb into the bay, sit on fenders, and wrench away.
